 About us
Apart from the time she spent living in Portugal, Pamela cannot remember
life without a dog. Being brought up in Bedlington, Northumberland she
was determined that one day she would own a Bedlington Terrier. This
wish became a reality in the early 1970's when she became very
successful showing her first Bedlington pup. In the mid eighties, she
and Mike went to live in Portugal where they adopted a stray donkey
which they called Flymo. Flymo was an old girl, with only one eye and
in very poor condition. Before long she started to think she was a dog,
and walked to heel with them around their grounds. Given the chance,
she would amble into the kitchen - looking for snacks. Flymo had a
happy retirement and died of old age just before Pam and Mike returned
to England to live. Pam was determined that they would not become
involved in the dog showing scene again - all the usual excuses - too
busy, what about holidays, etc. When their son offered to buy them a
Bedlington Terrier puppy as a Christmas present they, of course,
couldn't resist, and Pam has resumed her judging career. Mike plays his part by
being chauffeur and gear carrier. He loves the dogs, and plays
with them, walks them and cooks for them. When Pam insists that they
sleep downstairs he creeps down in the night and they race upstairs to
sleep under the duvet.
Mike and Pam (MnP) decided to write their web pages because of their interest in all
breeds of dogs and hope that it gives as much enjoyment to others as it
does to themselves. They have enjoyed supplying Coopercraft figures to
customers all over the world and always look forward to the dog story
emails that this connection brings. We must say a special thank-you to Viv Rainsbury, who drew all the little Bedlington logos we use all over our website. She is the Honorary Secretary of the Bedlington Terrier Association .
You can e-mail us to discuss dogs (especially Bedlington Terriers), any of our products, or anything else of mutual interest. Our e-mail address is: info@K9MnP.com
